Corn Seed Treatment

  • Seed protected with Poncho 250 produced an average 5.64 bushels/acre more yield than untreated seed in 1,019 head-to-head comparisons from 2002-2004.
  • Precise amount of Poncho 250 insecticide is applied to every seed, then delivered to your farm, on the seed, in the bag.
  • Team Poncho 250 with a new biotech rootworm-resistant hybrid for highly effective, broad-spectrum insect control.
  • Water solubility and attraction to plant lipids (oils) nearly ideal for maximum plant absorption; better than any other seed-applied insecticide.
  • More effective control due to both contact and systemic activity.
  • No chemical container disposal or special equipment required.
  • Can be combined with fungicides on the seed; no known interactions with herbicides.
  • A non-restricted-use insecticide; excellent worker and environmental safety profile.
  • Seed protected with Poncho 1250 produced an average 3.21 bushels/acre more yield than corn protected with either of the two leading soil-applied insecticides in more than 700 head-to-head comparisons; and an average 11.47 bushels/acre more than seed receiving no insect protection in 1,351 comparisons.
  • Also recommended for refuge acres in conjunction with use of rootworm-resistant corn hybrids. Precise amount of Poncho 1250 insecticide is applied to every seed, then it’s delivered to your farm, on the seed, in the bag.
  • Excellent cost-to-benefit ratio relative to soil-applied product. Water solubility and attraction to plant lipids (oils) nearly ideal for maximum plant absorption; better than any other seed-applied insecticide.
  • Excellent worker and environmental safety profile. Can be combined with fungicides on the seed, and no known interactions with herbicides. A non-restricted-use insecticide; excellent worker and environmental safety profile.
  • Poncho® 250 seed-applied insecticide controls the early season pests that reduce plant stands and lower your crop's yield potential!

Trilex®/Poncho® 250 consistently out performed Dynasty™/Cruiser 250 in independent trials

For added protection Jacobsen Seed treats corn with Trilex Fungicid

    • Increased stands, better uniformity, improved vigor
    • Broad Spectrum of Activity:
      • Excellent Rhizoctonia and Fusarium activity
      • Effective against seed borne pathogens - Fusarium, Penicillium, Rhizopus, Cladosporium
      • Excellent Pythium activity when used with Allegiance seed applied fungicide

    Poncho® 250
Poncho® 250 Seed-Applied Insecticide delivers the early season protection your crops need against cutworms, wireworms, white grubs, grape colaspis, and many other secondary pests. More effective control due to contact and systematic activity. Increased plant efficiency with Poncho® 250 saves time and labor during the busy planting season. There are no liquid insecticide systems to mix and load, and no insecticide hoppers to fill. IMPORTANT REMINDER - When planting Poncho® treated seed, the use of graphite in finger pick-up units and talc in air planters is highly recommended.

    Trilex®
Trilex® contains the active ingredient trifloxystrobin and provides further improvement in control of Pythium spp. Pythium is typically the most damaging pathogen in relation to stand reduction. Trilex® also has good activity against Rhizoctonia and many seed borne pathogens.
